“A creative approach to every problem thrown at her.”
I’ve worked with Katy at EA for many years in her earlier career building AAA games like FIFA. More recently, we’ve also worked on design and branding projects for start-up companies. Katy has a creative approach to every problem thrown at her. She will always go the extra mile to produce a variety of options. Whether engaging professionally or as a friend, Katy is a good listener and very approachable. She does extensive research for every client and becomes attracted to their business. Having worked with both large corporations and startups, Katy understands diverse business strategies and priorities. She can work fast and efficiently with tight timelines or produce very detailed, thorough and high‑fidelity work. The ability to adapt to simultaneous projects with different strategies comes from her strong work ethic and experience in the design, marketing and consulting industry.

“Katy coaches performance the way an engineer thinks about systems.”
Katy coaches performance the way an engineer thinks about systems. She built my nutrition and training around my actual schedule, not some ideal version of my week that doesn’t exist. First season I’ve gone a full competitive cycle without a burnout crash.

“She truly walks the talk, her energy is contagious, her lifestyle reflects her values.”
I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Katy Poon through several longevity and biohacking conferences, and from the start, it was clear she truly walks the talk. Her energy is contagious, her lifestyle reflects her values, and her dedication is unmatched. We brought Katy on board at xLongevity to help draft the structure and content for our Longevity Academy, and the quality of her work exceeded all expectations. Her writing is not only clear and compelling, but also deeply informed and thoughtful, reflecting both her knowledge and her passion for health, nutrition, and wellness. Beyond her exceptional skills, Katy is reliable, conscientious, and genuinely eager to contribute in meaningful ways. She’s someone you can count on to deliver high‑quality work while living the principles she promotes.

“Fast but never reckless which is the hardest needle to thread in this industry.”
Katy helped us rebuild the entire client-facing side of the practice, intake, positioning, how we even talk about ourselves publicly. We’d been putting it off for years, law firms move slow and every partner has their own opinion on what we should sound like. She sat through three partner meetings I fully expected to go nowhere and somehow we left each one with actual direction. Fast but never reckless which is the hardest needle to thread in this industry since credibility is the utmost importance.

“Didn’t expect the coaching sessions to change how I run the firm, honestly.”
I hired Katy for a brand refresh on our investor materials. Didn’t expect the coaching sessions to change how I run the firm, honestly. Six months in and the way we make decisions at the partner level barely resembles what we were doing before.

“Finished 11min faster than my goal and didn’t crash for two months after like I usually do!”
Katy rebuilt my whole relationship with food and training going into my first Ironman! Every plan I’d tried before was generic, I’d abandon it within a few weeks every time.. and I just couldn’t even figure out why i couldn’t follow though. She builds around your actual life, ACTUAL schedule and most importantly, you actual body! Finished 11min faster than my goal and didn’t crash for two months after like I usually do!

“Impressions went from a few hundred a post to five figures pretty consistently within the quarter.”
We came to Katy with a brand that felt like every other L2 protocol out there, another gray and blue site with the same jargon everyone uses. Our previous agency (overseas, cheap, in retrospect a mistake) handed us a ton of generic AI-slop content that could’ve belonged to any protocol in the space. Katy rebuilt our visual identity and content strategy in about six weeks and pushed back hard on half our first-round ideas, told us straight up we were just copying competitors instead of saying anything true about what we’d built. Impressions went from a few hundred a post to five figures pretty consistently within the quarter. She actually spends time in the communities which most consultants just don’t do.
L2 protocol, out of the gray
“Katy’s unusually direct for a coach, in the best way.”
Katy’s unusually direct for a coach, in the best way. About four months in I laid out this whole plan I was proud of and she just asked me point blank if I actually believed in it or if I was staying busy with a smaller decision to avoid a bigger one. I didn’t have a good answer. Lol. That’s what got me unstuck after two years of circling the same decision. Honestly don’t think a more agreeable coach would have gotten me there.
Unstuck after two years of circling
“This is the longest anything’s stuck, going on eight months now.”
I’d been through 3 business coaches before Katy, walked away from all of them within a month because the frameworks assumed some version of me that doesn’t exist, always-on, single focus, no competing fires. Katy built around how my brain actually works instead of handing me a productivity system you can find on google. This is the longest anything’s stuck, going on eight months now.
Fourth coach, the one that stuck
“She’ll show up with 4 completely different directions for the same problem.”
Kate has more creative range than anyone I’ve worked with. She’ll show up with 4 completely different directions for the same problem and actually walk you through why each one fits a different kind of customer. Most designers give you their one good idea dressed up three ways. She also digs into stuff most designers skip entirely, we once spent an entire session going through our old customer support tickets.
